Boys Win Invite; Girls take Second

Bryan hosted their Golden Bear Invitational on Saturday, December 20. The tournament featured both team and individual competition, with squads bowling three traditional games followed by five Baker games. Those totals determined the top four teams advancing to the stepladder finals. On the boys side, Liberty Center, Bryan, Anthony Wayne, and Wauseon earned spots in the stepladder, while the girls field saw Bryan, Bowling Green, Liberty Center, and Wauseon move on.

In the boys stepladder, Anthony Wayne opened by defeating Wauseon in a best-of-three matchup. Bryan then took down Anthony Wayne in the semifinals, setting up a championship showdown with Liberty Center. The Golden Bears rose to the moment, defeating Liberty Center in two straight games to capture the invitational title.

The Bryan girls entered the stepladder as the top seed and battled their way to the finals before coming up just short, finishing as runner-up to Liberty Center. Despite the team result, the Golden Bears dominated the individual standings. Zoey Gillett claimed the individual championship with an impressive 658 series, while Meadow Goebel finished runner-up with a 556 series.
