Boys Soccer Opens NWOAL Play with 4-0 Win Over LC

Bryan (1-2-1) beat Liberty Center 4-0 on the opening NWOAL match of the season. Bryan won with a very professional performance in all parts of the pitch controlling the game from start to finish.

Bryan opened the scoring from a weighted through ball from Max Burton into the run of Carter Altaffer who finished the 1 on 1 opportunity 5 minutes into the game. 9 minutes later after constant pressure and a couple of corners, the ball bounced back to Alex Diaz on the right wing who took a shot that deflected into the LC net. With 13 minutes left in the half the bears connected on some brilliant interplay on the right wing and Carter Altaffer drove the ball into the box into a great run from Alex Diaz to cut in front of his defender and finish the chance.

Bryan continued to put the pressure on in the second half and maintained possession before scoring off of a corner whipped in from Alex Diaz and headed in by Carter Luce with 29 minutes left in the half.

The bears continued to create chances and control possession of the ball for the remainder of the game. The defense dealt with everything they had to to secure the clean sheet protecting the goal and Jess Hendricks recorded one save in the game to give the Bears their first win of the season and 1-0 in NWOAL play.
