Bears Get Two Wins Over Patriots

The Bryan 7th grade boys basketball team pulled off a comeback win on Thursday night, rallying past Patrick Henry for a 24-22 win. Trailing 20-14 entering the fourth quarter, the Bears turned up the defensive pressure and clamped down on the Patriots, allowing just two points in the final period. Maven Staten led the charge with 11 points, while Loghan Decker added 7. Finn Hanna chipped in 4 points and Amari Johnson rounded out the scoring with 2.

In the 8th grade matchup, Bryan jumped out early and never looked back, building a 27-0 halftime lead on the way to a 38-14 victory. The Bears showcased their depth with eight players finding the scoring column. Max Neff paced Bryan with 11 points, followed by Hoyt McGill with 8 and Casen Herman with 7. Xavier Oliphant added 4, while Zach Hess, Mack Inselmann, Nolan Wyman, and Hayden Warner each scored two points in the win.
