The Bryan 8th grade girls basketball team turned a sluggish start into a dominant performance tonight, defeating Ottawa Hills 51-20. The Golden Bears struggled to find their offensive rhythm early on, heading into the locker room at halftime with a modest 15-8 lead. Following a focused half time team discussion centered on collective goals and execution, the Bears emerged for the second half looking like a completely different squad.The transformation was immediate and effective as Bryan poured in 36 points in the final two frames, more than doubling their first half production. Driven by resilience and a surge in confidence, the team’s ball movement improved drastically, allowing multiple players to finish the night in double digits.
