The 7th Grade Football team defeated Patrick Henry on Thursday scoring a touchdown with 20 seconds left to win 8-0. Kayson Buchanan found Maven Staten for the winning touchdown. The same pair connected for the two point conversion. Brandon Buehrer had a huge catch to keep the drive moving. The offensive line of Andrew Quimby, Marshall Powell, Jonah Carpenter, Izzy Gonzales, and Lohgan Decker provided great protection on the game winning drive.
The defense kept Patrick Henry out of the end zone all game. The defensive line controlled the line of scrimmage. Dillon Skiver had a big interception late in the 2nd half and Owen Grant had an interception to seal the win. The Bears move to 1-1 on the season and host Liberty Center next Thursday at 5:00 pm.
