Bryan Volleyball sweeps past Edgerton

The Bryan Lady Bears delivered a dominant performance Thursday evening, sweeping past the Edgerton Bulldogs in three straight sets (25-18, 25-13, 25-19).

Bryan’s offense was firing on all cylinders at the net, powered by the balanced tandem of Kelsie Thiel and Alea Shilling, who posted 11 kills apiece to lead the front-line attack. Setting up the powerhouse offensive effort was Jozie Cordy, who distributed the ball masterfully to finish with an impressive 37 assists on the night.

Shilling also made her mark behind the service line, keeping Edgerton off balance by dropping in 3 aces.

On defense, the Lady Bears relentless ground play limited Edgerton’s scoring runs. Gezzy Kidston anchored the back row with a team-high 17 digs, while Mallie Grant chipped in 8 digs to keep rallies alive and complete the clean sweep.

The Bears’ record moves to 2-4 on the season as they prepare to play Swanton next Thursday, September 10th, for a league match up.
