The Bryan girls tennis team lost two deciding matches in the third and final set to get knocked out of the state team tennis tournament on Friday.
The Lady Bears lost their second match of the year to the Lady Panthers from Saint Mary Central Catholic in the quarterfinal round of the state team tournament. The score was 4-1 in favor of SMCC, but the match turned on the result of both doubles matches.
The first and second doubles matches were almost identical as Bryan lost each first set in a tie-breaker, bounced back and won 6-1 in the second set, and then lost in the deciding third set.
Bryan takes the court at home against Ottawa Glandorf on Monday at 4:30 PM.
