The Bryan Boys Tennis Team competed in the sectional tournament on Thursday. Two Golden Bear doubles teams qualified for the district tournament, as Austin DeWitt/Jaydan Deel and Kai Dauber/Nolan Franzdorf each won both of their matches. DeWitt and Deel cruised to straight set victories while only losing one game all day. Dauber and Franzdorf won their first match without losing a game, before outlasting Ottawa Hills in a 3-set thriller in the “go-to” match. Both doubles teams will participate in the sectional semi-finals and finals on Saturday to determine their District seeding. In other action, Brendan Roberts defeated his first opponent from Ottawa Hills. In the second round, he lost to a tough opponent and district qualifier from Maumee Valley Country Day. The doubles team of Simon Kellogg/Carter Montalvo dropped their first match to Central Catholic, but battled hard in a second-set tiebreaker. Individual scores are listed below:
