
Bryan’s cross country teams hosted the 8th annual Bryan Golden Bear Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday evening.
Lila Brock earned a medal, placing 10th out of a field of 66 girls. AJ Grant was the second finisher for the ladies in 20th with a season best time and Riley Bever placed 23rd with a personal best of over 50 seconds. Kassi McDade placed 50th. The ladies did not have a full team as they only had four finishers.
The boys team won their second meet of the season while scoring 25 points, 29 points ahead of 2nd place Celina. Leading the way for the boys was Colton Sheline and John Deitemeyer who were stride for stride nearly the entire race while placing 1st and 2nd overall in times of 16:20 and 16:27. Josiah Cummins placed 4th, Elijah Cummins placed 7th, Josh Sampson placed 14th. Medals were awarded to the top 15 finishers. Jeremiah Taylor was 6th for the Golden Bears, placing 19th, and Ethan Bailey placed 23rd while rounding out the top 7 finishers for Bryan. Leiv Keesbury placed 25th, Max Rios placed 30th, Graham McCague placed 44th, Fred Parmer placed 46th, Wesley Lupo placed 54th, Nate Root placed 55th, Keaton Myers placed 60th, Korbin Sammons placed 62nd, Jesse Hand 67th, and Gawyn Miller 72nd. There were 77 finishers in the high school boys race.
