The Bryan 8th grade volleyball team picked up a strong win over the Wauseon Indians, winning in straight sets, 25-16 and 25-20.
Bryan was led at the service line by Harper Smith, who recorded an impressive 9 aces. Molly Ruffer contributed with 4 kills, 3 digs, and 1 ace, while Kinlee Yoder added 2 kills and 1 ace.
Defensively, Emma Yoder led the back row with consistent play and recorded 2 digs, with Vera Hahn getting touches at the net.
The Bryan offense was kept moving by setters Anni Grant and Brynn Schlachter, who helped create opportunities for the team to continue taking aggressive swings. Grant finished with 1 kill, 1 dig, and 2 assists, while Schlachter was 100% from the serving line and added 4 assists.
With the victory, the Bears improve their season record to 5-4.
The Lady Bears will look to carry this momentum into their next matchup when they host Defiance on Monday, September 28, at 5:00 p.m.
