The 7th grade football team put together a great team effort to complete a convincing 34-20 victory over the Liberty Center Tigers. After a quick LC score to start the game, Max Weber took a screen pass from Merit Hahn 47 yards for a touchdown. Tatum Aquino added the two point conversion. Tatum Aquino gave the Bears their second score with a 6 yard run to give the Bears a 14-12 lead at half. The second half was a dominate effort from the Bears. Tatum Aquino scored again to start the third quarter. This time taking a screen pass 70 yards for a score. The defense continued to get stops throughout the second half. Merit Hahn added to scoring with his feet taking a sweep 30 yards. Alex Watson finished the scoring with a touchdown run. The defense played great in the second half, with a big interception from Simon Breckler. The defensive line stepped up big with Kale Miller and Jaxon Alsobrooks and Miles Miller and Gunner Bellamy provided great coverage in the secondary. The Bears move to 2-1 on the season and are back in action Thursday September 24th at Evergreen.
