The track and field teams participated at the Lima Bath Invitational on Friday evening. The boys finished in 3rd, just two points behind runner-up Ottawa-Glandorf. Lima Shawnee won the 12 team invite. This was the best finish for the boys team since joining this invite in 2021.<\/p>\n
Spencer Woodward scored major points for the Golden Bears, placing 4th in the 100, 2nd in the 400, 1st in the 200, and anchoring the champion 4×400 team with Carter Altaffer, Elijah Cummins, and Adam Elzey. Other top 5 scorers for the boys team were Carter Altaffer (2nd in the long jump, 4th in the 400, and 5th in the 200), Colton Sheline (2nd in the 1600 and 3200), Josiah Cummins (3rd in the 3200), Cody Shaffer (1st in the shot put), and the 4×800 of Elijah Cummins, Josiah Cummins, John Deitemeyer, and Jeremiah Taylor placed 4th.<\/p>\n
The girls\u2019 team placed 9th out of 12 teams. Scorers for the ladies were Kelsie Thiel (6th in the 800), Nicolette Stickney (5th in the 1600 and 7th in the 800), Emme Miller (5th in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles), the 4×100 of Breanna Winzeler, Trinidee Baughman, Emme Miller, and Alea Shilling placed 6th, and Annie Kunsman was the lone champion for the ladies in the pole vault.<\/p>\n
