On Thursday October 16th, the Bryan 8th grade football team hosted the undefeated Archbold Blue Streaks and lost 47-20. Archbold controlled the game from start to finish as they completed another undefeated season. The Bryan offense was led by a huge game from running back Xavier Oliphant as he busted off 3 long touchdown runs keep the Golden Bears in the game. Max Neff connected with Hoyt McGill on a 2-point conversion pass to complete the Bryan scoring. The Bryan defense had their hands full with a talented Archbold offense that featured a balance attack. Hoyt McGill, Harrison Spitnale, Zach Lamneck, Max Neff, and Ryan Carpenter led the team in tackles. Hoyt McGill recovered a fumble and Casen Herman intercepted a pass. The Bryan 8th grade football team is now 4-3 overall and they will conclude their season on Tuesday as they play host to the Delta Panthers (5:00 p.m.).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
