
The Bryan Golden Bears battled hard on the court, but ultimately fell to the Miller City Wildcats in a four-set match on Thursday night, dropping the contest with set scores of 25-21, 16-25, 14-25, and 17-25.
Bryan started strong, capturing the opening set 25-21 before Miller City found its rhythm and swept the next three sets to claim the victory.
At the net, Alea Shilling led the Golden Bears’ offensive attack with a team-high 10 kills, while Gisele Kidston added strong support with 8 kills. Defensively at the net, Kelsie Thiel posted 3 blocks.
On the defensive end, Reese Ruffer anchored the backline with 12 digs, while Kidston and Mallie Grant contributed 8 digs apiece to keep the rallies alive. Jozie Cordy paced the offense throughout the four sets, setting up her teammates with 25 assists.
Bryan is 8-11 as they head into their final week of regular season play. They will host Stryker for their final home game on Monday with JV starting at 5:30.
