
The Bryan Golden Bears volleyball team put up a determined fight on the court, but ultimately came up short in a competitive three-set match against the Paulding Panthers (17-25, 24-26, 21-25).
Gisele Kidston anchored the Bears’ back line with a strong defensive effort, racking up 10 digs while adding a spark at the service line with 6 aces. Mallie Grant provided steady support on defense as well, chipping in 7 digs.
Setter Jozie Cordy ran the offense smoothly throughout the match, directing the floor with 20 assists while serving up 4 aces of her own.
At the net, the Bears featured a balanced offensive attack, with Alea Shilling, Mallie Grant, and Elle Moreland pacing the front line with 5 kills apiece.
Bears kick off their first league play at Archbold Tuesday, September 1. Freshman start at 4:45 followed by JV and Varsity.
