Bryan’s girls’ basketball team picked up its second win in a row, knocking off Hicksville 55-32. The win puts the Golden Bears at 3-2 and gives them their first winning streak of the season.
The Bears were led in scoring by McKenna Grube with 16 points. But they also got a lot of help from their bench. Freshman Delilah Taylor scored 13, and fellow frosh Addie Arnold added 11. Throw in two more points from Baylee Krupp, and Bryan had a grand total of 26 points off the bench. Kennedy Lamberson scored 10, giving the Golden Bears four players in double figures.
The Bears had been thriving on defense coming into play. That was no different against the Aces. Bryan held Hicksville to 32 points in the game, and forced 31 turnovers.
